Ferroli UK is very pleased to announce that Mike Wagstaff has joined the company as National Sales Manager of the Commercial division.

Mike joins Ferroli from Hamworthy Heating where he was UK Product Manager and has a wealth of experience in the commercial heating industry from previous positions at Georg Fischer, Nuaire and eight years in the Army with the Royal Engineers.

“My aim is to establish Ferroli as the UK’s leading commercial and industrial heating appliance supplier,” said Mike. “Ferroli really is the hidden giant in this sector; the range and quality of the products available is so impressive and I want to make that known.

“Boilers such as the Quadrifoglio, New Condens, Econcept and Energy Top are superbly designed and technically advanced appliances. In fact, I believe the Quadrifoglio has the potential to completely change the way that M&E consultants think about building design.”

The latest addition to Ferroli’s extensive range of commercial boilers offers unique design features that guarantee very high efficiencies, very long service life and superb performance.

The floor standing gas fired New Condens FS 300-600 Series comes in 11 models ranging from 69kW to 542kW and can be cascaded up to a total capacity of 8,672kW.

Specially developed for the New Condens are the robust Al-Si-Mg heat exchanger and the stainless steel woven mesh pre-mix burner which deliver efficiency levels of up to 109.5% (NCV). NOx emissions are as low as 22mg/kWh and a very high modulation turndown ratio of 1:7 provides high average seasonal boiler efficiencies.

The easy to use controller and optional cascade module enable up to 16 New Condens boilers to be cascaded together and the controller allows the boiler to be fully integrated into renewable heating systems such as biomass, heat pumps and underfloor heating.

All of the combustion components and heat exchanger sections are housed within a robust steel frame with easily removed panels.

The New Condens is a superb example of Ferroli’s ability to design and build a boiler that is technically advanced whilst being easy to install, use and maintain. Visit the New Condens page to find links to the brochure and manuals.

We are very pleased to announce that Maurizio Prete has been appointed CEO of the Ferroli Group.

Mr Prete’s new position with Ferroli is the latest in his distinguished career history in business management within the manufacturing industry in Italy and France.

Since the restructuring of the Ferroli Group was completed at the end of 2015, business for the global heating appliance manufacturer has continued to go from strength to strength and at Ferroli UK, we are looking forward to a great year of growth to come under the expert direction of Mr Prete.

Ferroli is very pleased to announce that the final negotiations of the company’s restructure are due to be completed at the end of this year and that boiler production is back to full strength.

The new investors are Oxy Capital Italia, based in Milan, and UK-based company Attestor Capital.

After a pause whilst the transfer of the company to the new owners was under negotiation, production restarted in September this year and the Modena HE range of combi and system boilers is now back in stock at merchants throughout the UK.

Ferroli UK managing director Flavio Buccianti said: “Ferroli’s history is one of market-leading innovation in the heating industry and we are very proud of our achievements. After a difficult economic period, this financial investment means that we can return to doing what we do best – the design, development and manufacture of high performance, energy efficient heating appliances that help our customers to reduce their fuel usage.

“Our new investors are already putting into practice various initiatives that will bring the company back to profitability, including some long-awaited investment on new products.

“The future for Ferroli is looking very bright and we are excited to be facing 2016 with positivity and enthusiasm for the new products that we will be launching, as well as the continuing success of the exceptional Modena HE boiler range.

At Ferroli we take training very seriously – no matter how well-built the boiler, it can only sustain  optimum performance if it’s been correctly installed and maintained. That’s why we are continually  expanding our training centres across the UK so that our installers have the knowledge and  confidence  needed to fit Ferroli boilers for their customers.

Our free 1 day current product awareness training courses are designed to give engineers a  comprehensive  understanding of installation requirements, appliance set-up and servicing, fault  finding and parts replacement.

Training is led by Dean Mallows, our peerless expert on all things technical. Dean’s years of experience in a classroom environment means he’s a great communicator who ensures that both experienced and novice installers come away with the genuinely useful skills needed to deliver a better service to their customers that will help them build business.

We offer installer product awareness training on our current domestic boiler range at 13 locations across the UK:

At South Lanarkshire College East Kilbride, Coleg y Cymoedd Ystrad Mynach and at our head office in Burton-upon-Trent training takes place in our brand new fully fitted kitchen settings where students can work on many our boilers, including the Modena combi & system, DOMIcondens, Optima
x, Fer and Energy  Top models.

Our other training locations are at: Sunderland, Bradford, Halifax, Doncaster, Waltham Abbey, Basildon, Southampton, Manchester, and Blackpool.

We also offer hands-on service/fault finding courses on our older range of boilers; these can be configured to suit the attendee’s requirements. These courses usually consist of no more than four persons to allow maximum attention to the individual’s training requirements and are fully hands-on. These courses are chargeable and are currently only available at our head office in Burton-upon-Trent.

Peter Taylor has been appointed Field Operations Manager by international boiler and heating appliance manufacturer Ferroli.

Peter joins Ferroli after 12 years with boiler manufacturer Vaillant where he held a number of senior roles in product support and development.

At Ferroli, Peter is managing the company’s growing team of engineers and will be implementing new procedures to expand and develop the company’s technical service department.

“Peter brings with him a wealth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the boiler industry and we are all very excited at the new ideas he has for delivering even higher levels of support to our valued customers, both installers and householders alike,” said Ferroli’s Commercial Director Andy Dimond.

Peter began his career as an apprentice and trained to become a qualified engineer. He ran his own successful plumbing & heating company employing 13 engineers for 20 years, which he sold before moving to Vaillant.
